First Dutch-inspired creative school · Pinggir TTDI, KL

Big ideas start small.

Summer Academy is a creative primary school for children aged 7–12, built on the Dutch belief that children learn best by doing, choosing, and playing. We’re here to make school the best part of the day — and to create magical memories along the way.

Who we are

A creative school where children learn by doing

Summer Academy is Malaysia’s first Dutch-inspired creative primary school. We took the parts of the Dutch system parents love — trust in the child, freedom to explore, and learning that starts with real work — and grew a warm little school around them in the heart of Damansara.

Our teachers don’t just deliver lessons. They watch closely, ask good questions, and open the right door at the right moment — so every child leaves each day a little braver than they arrived.

First the freedom. Then the skills.

Freedom to explore

The Dutch way trusts children to lead. Days are built around choice, real materials, and time to go deep — so curiosity does the heavy lifting and learning feels like play.

  • Child-led, project-based days
  • Learning in print, print to learn
  • Room to wonder, make and mess up

Skills for life

Reading and sums matter — but so do the skills report cards forget. We build the confidence to stand up, speak clearly, solve problems and do the right thing when no one is watching.

  • Problem-solving & leadership
  • Public speaking & presentation
  • Integrity, respect & kindness

  4. Projects & making

STEM, art and design — the messy, marvellous heart of the day.

Magical memories

Festivals, excursions and everyday joy — the moments children carry for life.

Our daughter used to dread school. At Summer Academy she runs to the gate. She’s reading in three languages, she stands up and speaks like she owns the stage, and she talks about her teachers like family. This is the childhood we hoped for.
